How to change simpler/sampler volume max from +36 to only +6?

Post by xkx » Mon Mar 03, 2025 2:33 pm

Hello

I'm midi mapping volume in drum rack. Using Simpler, I'm mapping my fader knobs to the volume. The problem is that it goes from -36db to +36db. This is too much to of a jump, which means that when I'm playing live, even small tweaks means that I add +10 or -10db to a sound, which is not great for live performance.

Any suggestions to change those parameters so the volume only goes up to +6?

Thanks

Page 400 of the Live 12 manual:
Refine the value range if desired using the Min/Max sliders in the Mapping Browser. Inverted
mappings can be created by setting the Min slider’s value greater than the Max slider’s value.
The current values can also be inverted by right-clicking on the entry in the Mapping Browser
and selecting Invert Range.
