Launch two scenes at the same time (Follow Action)

Post by R. » Fri Mar 07, 2025 11:12 am

Hi Folks,

I wonder if you can think of a good way for me to launch two clips on separate tracks at the same time with the press of one button -does anyone has a nifty work around for this? - basically something like a follow action but instead of working between scenes it works across tracks.

In my live set I have tracks with different instruments on them. I launch these individually usually and in most cases this works out fine, but sometimes two tracks are inherently linked in there melodic/harmonic content and if they are not triggered at the same time 9 times out of 10 it will sound terrible.

At the moment my solution is a visual queue - I colour the tracks separately and this reminds me to push two launch buttons at the same time, but this isn't fail safe and doesn't always work.

Thanks for your help

Map the same key on your keyboard to the clips? If you press that specific key, both will launch
Mac Studio M2 Max and MacBook Pro M4

Genelec M030; Live 12 latest and beta; macOS 27 Golden Gate
UAD Apollo Twin

Ableton Push 2

It's not possible that way sadly, having over 127 different scenes or tracks there's not enough buttons on a keyboard :(

Thanks for the suggestion though
