vsts not appearing on windows 11

Post by muffmellow » Wed Apr 09, 2025 7:19 pm

the vsts i have (except for one) aren't appearing after scanning. deep scans didn't change anything and neither did a reboot. enabling and disabling the folder had no effect and the plugins not working had to be placed in the folder manually as they didn't come with installers. i did try launching with admin rights and that also did nothing. i'm using live lite 11.3.11 if that makes a difference. (i'm pretty sure it doesn't)

Are the plugins 64-bit? 32-bit plugins are not supported.

Did you put the DLL (=VST2) and VST3 files each in their corresponding folders?
What folders did you use and did you set those in Live's settings?

It's best to use the system folder for VST3s, which is C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3.
To make it simple, create a VST2 folder in the same location (C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2) and select this as custom VST2 folder in Live's settings.
