Consolidating multiple clips as dedicated samples

It would be great if there would be the option to choose/highlight a few clips/samples and batch consolidate them.
But not like its happening natively in Ableton, that they get put together into one sample.

Example :

You have recorded a few Tracks worth of audio and want to cut the samples apart and use small parts of the bigger recording in other places.
Now you'd normally have to select each of the cut pieces and consolidate them one by one.

Wouldn't it be nice to select all of the cuts you made, on a single track or on multiple tracks,
hit the option / tool to mass consolidate them, and getting them consolidated automatically, one by one, as discrete clips ?

I would say yes !
It could be a nice way to keep the project small, cause its way more convenient then doing it by hand and therefore, most of the time not doing it at all.

+1

In Logic this function is called "convert regions to new audio files".

Well that would be a name for it that I could see happening...
And very interesting that this is already existing as a feature in other software !

You could select all the clips and choose Crop Clips, then go into the processed folder in the Ableton project folder to see all the individual new audio files. At least I think that would work.

Nice Workaround.
That's definitely a thing to try and nice to consider.
But not in full extent what I would want the "multi consolidate" feature do.
Yet still, thanks for mentioning that technique !

One of the benefits of batch consolidation vs cropping is the auto-normalization and baking of warp and fades.

The current consolidation workflow is tedious, this feature should be added!
