Hi,
I've recently started to notice that some of the pads (presumably the most used ones) are becoming more sticky on my Push 3 Standalone, meaning that sliding a finger on them is more difficult than on the newer ones.
This is negatively affecting playability in MPE mode.
I don't see this as a fault of the product, but since there seems to be some kind of "wax coating layer?" on the new pads which is wearing off would be nice to know if there is some kind of product we can use for maintenance of the pads to keep them from becoming sticky, similar to putting rosin on a violin bow but with the opposite effect.
Many Thanks

Re: Push 3 Pads Maintenance
Y'know I was hoping that you'd just got one of those 'bad batch' models but when I checked mine I can definitely feel a difference. The bottom left 16 drum rack pads definitely feel rougher to slide across than the rest of the pads.
I've only had the Push3 for a few months
I do wonder if it's merely oil from the fingers instead of a coating that's worn off.

Sounds like you're playing drum racks more than instruments, which would inevitably accumulate more...
Cleaning them with something soft regularly is definitely good practice. See how a guitar neck/strings looks like when you don't clean it...
fingers are the not the cleanest part of a human body!
