When I first started using Move as a controller for Live I was pretty happy with all the things I could do without looking at the screen. My first impulse was to twist the encoders to change the volume for each track (since they're right above each track)...
Then I realized that they only control parameters of the selected device... <-- I really never do this. Most of my devices are just set it and forget it.
It would be nice to be able to change the default mapping and have the option to press the shift button to access secondary functions.
For me, the most logical and intuitive encoder functions would be to:
- set the volume of each track by default
- shift button for panning each track
- hold the track button at the bottom to control sends.
- When selecting devices with the big knob, hold click it to access device parameters with the option of mapping to relevant functions.
I'm sure others would prefer a different arrangement, so the option to customize it would be nice.
