I understand that with Push3, the control surface method of controlling the red box frame (mirroring the 64 clips selected on the Push3), has changed....
Bugger!
Previously (with Push2) I had control over this, without needing to press buttons on the Push by either using
1) ClyphxPro and the Control surface command RINGLINK. The below command would realign the redbox and my screen with the currently playing DRUM clip:
[Accent] "DRUMS"/ SEL; CS "PUSH2" RINGLINK S; CS "PUSH2" RINGLINK OFF; CS "PUSH2" RING T<1; CS "PUSH2" RING T>1
or
2) Using the Track status , by clicking on the playing tracks Track Status with the mouse, which would align the Scene selection to the currently playing clip of that track.
Both really useful, and necessary when you're playing live with complex Live templates and where you might jump around in the Session view.
Option 1) is no longer available because it requires the Control Surface implementation for Push which is no longer used for Push3, and now I find that option 2) also seems to no longer work (Can anyone confirm that?, I haven't seen mention of that functionality being removed).
Is there anyway (maybe with python scripts?), that I can achieve the same outcome - being able to control where in my session view the push3 is focussing, and syncing that up with my laptop screen?
Controlling the 'Red box' on Push3
Re: Controlling the 'Red box' on Push3
It can't be done, Ableton have not exposed the Components of the Push 3 API which iclude the Session Offsets required to obsevre and move the Ring Focus Box.

Re: Controlling the 'Red box' on Push3
Thanks - I had got the same answer from the Clyphx crew, but wanted to double check there wasn't another way to get at this...
