Hi Ableton Team,
I’d love to see native support for multitrack WAV files in Ableton Live. Many recording systems generate a single WAV file containing multiple embedded tracks, but Live currently doesn’t recognize them. This forces users to extract the individual tracks manually before importing them into Live.
Proposed Feature:
• When dragging a multitrack WAV into Live, it should automatically split into separate audio tracks.
• Option to place tracks in parallel (take lanes) or as separate tracks in the session.
Why This Matters:
• Faster workflow for users working with live recordings and multitrack stems.
• Other DAWs like Logic Pro and Pro Tools handle this natively. Adding this feature would make Live a better tool for musicians and engineers working with multitrack recordings.
Would love to see this in a future update! Anyone else needs this?

I need this too. Currently I create multichannel files with Plogue Bidule and edit them with Reaper. It would be nice, to have this in Live.
