Ableton Live hanging randomly and not coming back

Hi,
I'm having more and more often difficulty with Ableton's Live completely hanging, process not responding, and when this happens, it doesn't come back. Nothing works, no keyboard shortcut. If I insist enough, Windows pops up the dialog box telling me the process is not responding and I can either wait or close the process, but even that fails, no keyboard support, it just hangs there and sometimes end up having to force reboot the whole computer to get rid of that, or start a second Live process on top of the stuck one. The issue happens more often when I open one Live set, then open a second one, but it can also happen randomly while I am working on a Live set. Sometimes it comes back to life and works, sometimes it starts hanging repeatedly and then crashes with "a serious error occurred" or something like that, sometimes it hangs and stay hung until I reboot everything. Then if I restart Live after I force-stopped it, it uselessly me asks me a question, written in super super tiny font, whether I want to recover the live set. But if I do that, it just creates a new project and I have to either overwrite my old live set or create a copy of it. This is not what I want, I just want it to open the project I was working on, not create a new copy.Bottom line, the interface never does what I want, I'm constantly fighting with super small fonts and then freezes/crashes. Switching to another DAW is a major hassle for me because they use other non-sense interfaces and super tiny fonts again, again and again. It took me years to find some way to work semi efficiently with Live and then I have to redo this again for another DAW because of random crashes.

First thing to check would be 3rd party plugins.
Is it happening with every set?

What computer, what version of Windows?

How long were you using Live on this machine before you started to experience this problem?
