Need Help with Stereo issues please

Hello,

I have been having a very important issue with Ableton. Nothing ever seems to be outputting stereo. When I playback tracks, listen to individual channels, export, anything, it always sounds mono. To make sure it wasn't just my brain tricking me, I would pan a channel or a main all the way left or right, and it would still be mono. Sometimes, it would sound like it would maybe get a bit quieter, but It was definitely not panning. What do I do?

If it helps I am using Ableton 12 Standard.

This is a big problem and I feel stuck until I can fix it so any help is greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this question but for some reason reddit is removing any post I make asking for help on relevant threads so I don't know what else to do.

How are you monitoring?

Could your monitors be set to mono?
