Hello,
Here is small but important issue I've been trying to solve.
I am using a Behringer X-touch midi controller. I would like to toggle on and off rec/arm, among other buttons in Ableton. This is pretty easy to do, of course.
what i am struggling with: I want to push the button on X-touch and toggle on/off of the record button, but i want the X-touch button to light up. When in 'momentary' mode the button flashes when i touch it but doesnt stay lit up. When in toggle mode, the button lights up, but i need to push it twice - which isnt very practical.
i would expect to see a light when its armed, but this isnt the case. i need to press twice.
i want to look down at the midi controller and know whats enabled and whats not.
really simple. but also not..?
thanks for reading.
Im using ableton live 11
Best
Ben

Re: toggle vs momentary with active controller LED
How is your X-Touch set up? Is it a normal unit (not Mini or Compact)? If you use a Remote Control script like the one in my signature, the button LEDs work the way you expect.

Re: toggle vs momentary with active controller LED
thanks!
i should have mentioned thats its a behringer mini
i have gone into the behringer editor and switched the buttons to toggle, so they stay lit, again i have to push them twice. otherwise i havent set it up in any particular way than out-of-the-box controller.
