Goodmorning, macro variations are powerful, but could be much more useful with this one feature.
Example: variation 1 is selected, then I select variation 2... All macros should slowly and gracefully change to the new values instead of changing immediately.
This would be even more powerful if you could change the transition time so the transition can be faster or slower as the user desires.
There are other cheap daws such as Sunday Keys that do this intuitively with little setup.
Is there a m4l device that can do this already?
Missing Macro Variation Feature
Re: Missing Macro Variation Feature
Hello I made long time ago a device that allows that. It' free.
Not tested on Live 12, should work.

Re: Missing Macro Variation Feature
That’s awesome thank you! I’ll certainly try it out.
Do you happen to have one for dummy clip changes too? I’m still learning how to properly use macro variations so I’m still using dummy clips for most of my use cases in live performance.
Example: track one has an instrument rack with two dummy clips… clip 1 selects instrument 1 with reverb macro set to 40% and delay to 0%..clip 2 selects instrument 1 with reverb macro set to 50% and delay at 20%. If clip 1 is active and clip 2 selected, then the macros would gracefully automate to the new values.

Re: Missing Macro Variation Feature
Hello,
I tought it was possible but I had to make some little changes to allow that.
It's done ! =)
Both audio et midi version has been updated.
you can find them there :
https://maxforlive.com/library/device/7 ... io-version
https://maxforlive.com/library/device/7 ... di-version
In the dummy clip there is 3 news parameters you can automate
INTERPOLATION : is the slider at the bottom left of the device, you can draw a curve to smoothly (or not) morph between 2 variations)
INTERP_FROM : choose from which variation you want a transition
INTERP_TO : transition until this variation
cheers
