Syncing ableton with DJM900 for hybrid setup with Push 2

Can someone tell me why ableton is not properly synced to the mixer eventhough the sync is checked in the midi setup? Sometimes it is synced sometimes the bpm is moving around in ableton. I connect it with a normal usb a to usb b cable

Thanks for getting back. So my plan is to mix with 2cdj 2000s and a djm 900 and also use ableton with Push 2 for adding other sounds on one of the djm’s channel.

I connect my laptop with the usb a to usb b cable to the djm A or B usb input. Then in ableton i select djm 900 as the output. Then in the midi setup i “check” sync .
The sound comes out , but for example when i wanna do 1/16 or 1/8 beat repeat ( on push 2)the beats are off sometimes. Not sure how to fix it, i have the “Ext” on for external sync but it goes off time to time . Also when i change the bpm on cdjs it takes time for ableton to adjust.
Plus if i create a sequence with ableton push/ ableton clip it just doesnt play it.
