Wrong octave?

When I press C4 on my controller the status bar shows:
Note: 60 Frequency: 262 Hz Input Key Controller: C3 (60) MIDI MPE Output: C3 0 ct Pitch Class: 0 Octave: 3
Why does it says C3 Octave 3

MIDI note 60 is labelled C3 in Ableton Live, Cubase, Garageband/Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Studio One, Digital Performer, Kontakt, Reason and Yamaha's stuff (and also my cheap Acorn Masterkey 49 keyboard).

MIDI note 60 is labelled C4 in Roland's stuff (and your controller) and a few minor DAWs like Renoise and Waveform, most relevant being Reaper.

MIDI note 60 is labelled C5 in FL Studio and Cakewalk/Bandlab/Sonar.
