Live 12 Lite overwrites my settings on Fantom 08

Post by vsevolodkhusid » Sun Jul 06, 2025 11:11 am

Hello!

I am just starting out and am learning to set up Ableton with Fantom 08.
I am connecting via a USB cable. Whenever I open a Live Lite project -- even the default one -- my Offset and Levelsettings on Fantom get changed.
The pitch becomes -64 and attack +44, Level jumps all over, and I do not see a reason for why the specific Zones (1-5) get changed while the others do not.

When I try to record, it also acts silly.
I set Zones 1&2 on Fantom to output on Sub (loudspeakers) and 3&4 more on Main (to pass to Live Lite). Piano and Xylophone each. Audio recorded correctly for a few attempts.
Now I set up MIDI recording From All Ins, and my Zone 2 suddenly produced a synth sound (alongside the xylophone) like the difference between the two keys I last pressed. When I set "arm track" to off, the effect would disappear.

And just before posting this, I added Output to Fantom to the midi track, just to try sending my MIDI back to Fantom, and the sound became barely noticeable -- despite all four zones on 100 Level. The problem persisted after I removed Output from the track.

Clearly the problem is somewhere in my setup. Could anyone help me figure out what settings I might have broken? And are there any trustworthy and thorough guides for setting Live 12 Lite with Fantom 08?
Thank you!
