Hi,
I opened up two ALS files, and the loop points i have on the arrangement view has been moved without me doing it myself. i have checked backups dating to point of where the beats and multiple tracks werent even finished and it still has the same issue. would it be that ableton updated the asd files for made new ones and that could be screwing up my tracks? i also do have multiple versions of ableton installed like 11, 12.0 and 12.2. im just trying to figure out what could be the culprit for the issue, its really frustrating..
take it easy yall!
Ableton has messed up my play and start positions and warp marks without me modifying them

Having multiple versions of Live installed is totally fine.
Do you see the same issue in all versions of Live in which you can open the set, or is it just a 12.2 problem?
In what version was the Live set made, and in which version saved for the last time?
How long ago was this last save before you opened it now?
If the issue is also present in older backups, it might have been this way for a while, and maybe you're misremembering.
In what way are the warp, start, and loop markers messed up? What did you expect and what changed?
Are you using Windows or MacOS?

And if it happens that answering to Rivanni's questions doesn't shed light on anything relevant, you might want to report to Support, sharing an example Set if possible.
It's not impossible that an update broke something for you even though we're doing our best to avoid this.

Is it at all possible that Live has mistakenly selected the wrong audio? It would have had the same name as the correct audio but would be everso slightly longer/shorter (or even a lot different). Did you have to 'find' any missing files when you opened this project?
Just trying to rule out possibilities, and hope it gets solved.

I mean i have saved separate versions of these songs to send to an engineer but other than that i havent modified these als files at all.
april to may of this year would be when i last saved most of these files when im during the process of sending them out now.
I mean i could totally understand not remembering shifting things here and there but there are STARK differences compared to the files i exported around the same time too. its really odd cause the dates modified are really from like 4/8/25 to 6/10/25. and i would of noticed the pops clicks and shifted audio that ruins the groove of some of my recordings.
i have previous mp3s where these songs dont have these like jumpy off center sample placements from when i made them and saved them as a final track for mixing, so even though its soooo redundant yeah im pretty sure these werent supposed to sound this level off of as they do.
Im on Win 10 rn as well! i appreciate the responses back! cause im lost in this situation

Could be very plausible. but ive been collecting and saving the tracks to send them out to an engineer. so maybe cross contamination? but i cant really think of a way that could happen at all unfortunately. i wouldnt doubt itcheakypawl wrote: ↑Wed Jul 16, 2025 9:05 am...opened up two ALS files, and the loop points i have on the arrangement view has been moved without me doing it myself. ...
