System:
AMD Ryzen 7 64gb RAM w/ discrete NVIDIA GPU
Windows 11
Ableton 12.2.1
Hi there,
Apologies if this is a recurring question, but I feel like I've been quite thorough in my troubleshooting so I'm a little lost.
I'm switching over to Ableton on Windows from Mac, and I use the video engine pretty frequently. It works fine on Mac, but I'm noticing that whenever I import video into Ableton on Windows, the clip itself will be missing the initial frame or two worth of both audio and video synced (e.g. one video I tested in Reaper has the first transient starting at 0:01.707 and in Ableton the same point in time is at 0:01:684). This makes all my exports from Ableton, whether it be audio or video, out of sync with the original which is a no-go for what I need to do.
I've tried all the main things I could find in research; obviously made sure warping was off and that my clip was fully extended on both sides, tried using Handbrake to make a production proxy, tried setting Ableton to use the integrated GPU rather than discrete, and tried a variety of different incoming video sources to the same sorts of results (some of them even resulted in weird green bars and ghosting happening when exporting video from Ableton as well, which is likely an additional problem). Does anyone know what a solution could be, or if this is just a bug with the current version of Ableton?
