When using MIDI input to Auto Shift, it doesn't play tuned audio unless the audio input starts first, and then the MIDI is triggered.
Meaning, I can't hold a chord and then sing into the microphone, that results in silence.
In the sequencer, the notes have to be slightly offset after the audio starts (and it's audio, not the clip itself that "opens" Auto Shift).
Seems that there's a gate that doesn't allow it to let MIDI-tuned audio go through unless the gate has been opened, but this is pretty unintuitive compared to iZotope Vocalsynth and Polyverse Manipulator. They tune whatever comes in as long as you hold a key, and there's also the option to let untuned audio go through when a key is not held.
There's no info on this in the manual, and Ableton support was of course useless.
Anyone else having similar experience or any tips?
