How to add a new chain to an Instrument Rack on Push

Post by richardl » Thu Sep 04, 2025 9:46 pm

At long last, I have learned that I can create an Instrument Rack to contain an Instrument on Push. (Select Instrument Track; press [Shift]+Upper Display Button: Select "Group" on the Lower Display Button. Voila! An Instrument Rack!

(Be careful not to press [Shift]+Lower Display Button where you will also find "Group" as an option. But that creates a Group Track.)

But is there a way to add another chain to an Instrument Rack on Push?

I would think that with the Instrument Rack track selected and opened pressing [+] would add another device chain to the Rack. But it just replaces the Instrument Rack in its entirety.
(I am running Live Suite 12.2.5 and Push Standalone Firmware 1.4.10 in Control or Standalone modes)

You can't do it from Push atm.
The trick is to prepare a rack with multiple empty chains in Live, and then export it to Push as a preset.
