Hi Livers,
I have had Ableton (running v.12.2.5) for years but not done a lot with it. Recently tried a Push 3 and I've decided I am more creative in Live so decided I need to stick with it.
I followed the manual and set up all my hardware synths as external instruments with the audio return set to monitoring off as recommended. I have just bought an Expert Sleepers ES-8 and have created it as an aggregate device. (Mac M2 Ultra 14.7.4) My main AI is a Fireface UFXIII.
I started with CV Tools today and replaced the External Instrument with CV Instrument. (There doesn't seem to be a ms correction inside CV Instrument.)
At 48 Khz and 32 samples my latency is 3.98 ms, 3.77 ms and RTL is 7.75 ms.
When I record audio returning from my modular, it appears to be 11 ms late (Edit: value in Live is 0:00:011 ). I have tried adjusting the Track Delay on the CV Instrument track. I've tried negative and positive values much larger than 11 ms. I seem to be able to make the audio delay larger but never any smaller than 11 ms.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to correct this in Live or do I need to look at using a Multiclock?
TIA

Re: Eurorack timing issue
I always become wary whenever an aggregate device is involved. It seemed like a wonderful thing when they first introduced it way back when, but in practice I have found it not always a reliable way to work (and is why I use all UAD now because when you daisy chain them the OS sees it as one giant interface).
I would try testing it without the aggregate device and see if you still get timing issues with just the ES-8.

Thanks string tapper, I'll give that a try and report back.
