My default compressor ( does not look like the compresssor shown in the manual. Instead of a sidechain option in the top left mine just says "External". Also mine has an SC Filter option instead of the EQ option. How do I get my stock compressor to look like the one in the manual where it has the sidechain option at the top? Why is my compressor different from the one shown in the manual? It looks like all of the tutorials I look up have the compressor that matches the manual as well. I attached pictures for reference.

That's because the manual needs to be updated.
Compressor (and a few other devices) got a little facelift recently (Live 12.2).
