Why this warning "Only audio effects can be inserted...."

Post by Trismos » Tue Sep 30, 2025 7:00 pm

I am working on a project that is currently 2 audio tracks with drum loops and no effects, and 5 additional midi tracks with various VST and a Max instrument, and I have this comment in orange in the Status Bar that says "Only audio effects can be inserted into an audio track". I have no effects on any of the tracks other than a Limiter, spectrum analyzer, and Utility plug in on the master track. I googled this and seen it has been asked about before but there doesn't seem to be a reason why? Any reason for this?

Using 11 suite on a windows 10 machine.

Indeed, this message sometimes appears when it shouldn't.
This is an old known bug. Don't worry about it.

Thanks yes, I saw one of the Reddit posts was from 2017. I opened another project and it hasn't shown up.
