Sampler & Simpler need an overhaul

I've been thinking about this for ages and I find it really strange that Ableton have never really given the ability for Sampler and Simpler to actually sample. I know that it's possible to route audio into midi devices on midi tracks so why not??

I would make a LOT of use for this function in my hybrid performance template to sample live instruments and tracks then chop it and playback live. The current CONVERT function just feels so antiquated and bloats my set.

Sure would be awesome. Imo, in the context of Push, it'd be more appropriate to have this in Simpler.
Move is capable of doing it, so hopefully we'll see this at some point.

Agreed, Simpler has all the sample chopping functionality built in so it would make sense. I've dreamed of this for a LONG time.
