Track delay with Max API ?
Is it possible to get/set the track delay with M4L ?
Couldn't find a way, but I thought I read somewhere it was possible...

It seems so.
Doing it the hard way, shifting MIDI notes inside clips.

A standard Delay on the track set to a negative number??
USed to do that with my DJ Hybrid setup for small adjustments to sync up with Serato.
Cheers

Oh, the TRACK is set to a negative value, and you'd use a Delay to fine tune. Is that it Darren?

No I need a quick way to switch between two delay values on a midi track.

Do you need any negative track delay, though?chapelier fou wrote: ↑Thu Oct 02, 2025 5:47 pmNo I need a quick way to switch between two delay values on a midi track.

Re: Track delay with Max API ?
Then, taking a bit from Darren's idea, maybe you should move your notes backward and then use a Delay instance to switch to your 2nd time value?

Re: Track delay with Max API ?
I used to set all the track delays backwards, then use the delay device to bring them all back to zero so i had some "wiggle room" so to speak...

Re: Track delay with Max API ?
Thanks for the nice ideas. Unfortunately I need this for a MIDI track. But I’m cool with shifting all notes from all clips back and forth using the call_get_all_notes method.

setting a "fake" lantency in you device should delay all other tracks.

Re: Track delay with Max API ?
perhaps make a delay (1Bar - 500 ms) and shift the clip 1 Bar left.
