Hello,
I’m in the situation, that I got a duo project with a friend and we are both using Ableton Live 12. The other part of my duo is moving away due to his studies, which could endanger the project, as we won’t be able to work together in the same room as we used to.
We would still like to proceed with our project and maybe meet once a while. I found following Knowledge article:
https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/artic ... g-Remotely
Question:
are there not any direct solution within Ableton Live to collaborating between 2 licenses within the same project? [Similar to what you can do on an Office 360 Excel or Word, where you can both edit and add content to the same project simultaneously without adding a 3rd part tool]
Kind regards
Andreas

In the Feature Wishlist subforum, and on Centercode if you're taking part in Live's beta testing.

Re: Ableton Live - Remote collaborating options
The discontinued Ableton feature you’re thinking of was called Ableton Live Set Sharing, often referred to as Ableton Cloud or Ableton Live Share (informally).
Officially, it was known as "Ableton Link Share" during early development and then launched as “Ableton Live’s ‘Share’ feature” — introduced around Live 9.1 (2013–2015 era).
It allowed users to upload their Live Sets directly from Ableton Live to a personal web page (via ableton.com) to share projects with others — including audio previews and downloadable Live Sets.
Ableton eventually discontinued the Share feature in 2017, citing limited use and the shift in focus toward Ableton Cloud / Splice / Link integration as alternative collaboration tools.
Summary:
Feature name: Ableton Live Share (officially “Share” in Ableton Live)
Purpose: Upload and share Live Sets via ableton.com
Introduced: Around Ableton Live 9.1
Discontinued: 2017
