Crossfader assignments for Push SA.

The is really needed. External mappings can be done on Live, save the project to push and have the controllers still work on SA. This is not possible with the crossfader. Why?!

The work around is mapping one controller knob or fader to two sub channels (I use returns) and reversing the gain mapping on one of them. Not the best solution (for my gig template anyway.)

I would like to see a retrospective Audio Capture, like Live's retrospective MIDI capture.

Anyone who has heard of the 404 MK2 40-second skip-back feature will understand the usefulness of this idea.
Back in the day, no right musician would be without their reel-to-reel tape. This would be that.

Owning both an MPC Live and Push3 SA, I hooked up a computer keyboard to the pUsh hoping to type out track names etc. no dice.
The ability to use a computer keyboard to house keep your tracks is pretty much a no brainer. The MPC Live II here does this just fine. :)

USER REMOTE SCRIPTS

“Control surface studio” by Remotify is a great piece of software that allows non-programmers to access the Ableton “live object model” allowing users to create custom scripts for controllers. This is generally a game changer in Live. No one has to wait for Ableton or the controller company to port the product to Ableton. It works on Live’s software but is blocked on the Push 3 SA.

The ability to use drum racks and clips from other projects
Or easier way to create drum racks instead of hot swap maybe load screen similar to the MPC Live series

Now that the hard work of 12.2 is done, it would be great to finally address all the hot swap/filter reset bugs in the next maintenance release.

We also could use a pad link feature to layer/stack drums. This would allow you to trigger another linked pad when playing. It can be set up like choke groups. From devices, press the upper button for a drum pad until you reach the choke page. Knob 3 is free to select another drum pad in the kit to be the target of the trigger. Could also add a delay parameter on knob 4 so the linked pad is triggered with an offset.

YES, this is the most frustrating to me, it makes me depressed. I need hotswap to go to the same folder again.

Please make Mackie MCU mode available on Push 3 Standalone.

This would make using controllers such as Korg nanoKONTROL2 much easier.
So I requested this back in September 2023.

Is it really that hard to port the basic MCU script to the P3SA ?

Or are you protecting your vendors you have a relationship with, such as Novation?

My Korg NanoKontrol MK2 has the perfect form factor for slotting below the P3SA, but I'm still waiting on this 2 years later.

An update from Ableton on this would be most appreciated!

The ability to flatten drum pads. There's no easy way to do this in Live, and to use Push 3 standalone you will need to flatten drum pads with 3rd party VSTs etc. You can now flatten instruments and FX in the arranger in Live, but not the drum racks.

Request-
Easier way of selecting all of a single note on the grid instead of holding the pad + select when nudging maybe holding select + pad and release instead holding the pad while nudging notes

An option to turn off/on Warp & Filters in the settings menu

1. Slice to Midi Track as implemented in Ableton. Maybe they could add it to the 'convert' menu?
2. The new MPC Live 3 has a feature where you can sample over USB C it would be cool to be able to sample all those wonderful ios synths and gadgets into Push standalone directly, maybe it's a hardware restriction, but if not, that would be great!

Would really be of great benefit for ableton to partner with squarp/hapax or torso software teams to rework workflow for push3.
Have been really patient with the dev cycles and updates thus far but I feel like push3 is too literal of an ableton extension and doesn’t bear any intuitive performative / creative exploratory fruit. Creating a session on the push especially standalone feels like such a chore with no chance of getting into a flow state and as a result gathers dust. I keep it only to display the beautiful industrial design and pretty lights but unfortunately rely on the ugly mpc live and hapax to do most of the heavy lifting.

COLLECTIONS

There are good reasons why some don’t want collections to sync between push SA and Live, however, a lot of people really want this feature (including myself.) Collections are an important feature and should be expanded. It’s great that we can rename them but there should be more control like:
- syncing individual collections to Push SA
- creating as many as we want
- saving or exporting collections
- saving collections with projects
When you are trying to work really fast, collections help a lot. More power there please.

A really big thing is missing for me is the possibility to split the 64pads in 2 areas: one for clips and one for notes.
So if I want to play some notes and trigger some clips while playing, I could assign the first two rows to the clips and the rest for the notes of my selected instrument. I think this thing could open a lot of possibilities for live performance
