I'd like to see a dedicated forum for python scripting.
Is there any chance it would happen ?
Well, I'd love to find a way to promote and encourage discussions around scripting, hacking controllers and Live (thought, this one isn't easy to "promote" wrt Live's stability) in general.
Back in the days (mostly before Push) there was incredible discussions and brainstorming in here about hacking the APC40, Launchpad and such. I'd love to see those type of fruitful discussions resurface, thought I suspect this isn't as relevant to people nowadays thanks to the gigantic innovation with DAW integration for controllers.
Then why not open an "Ableton Live scripting" subforum alongside "Ableton Live" and "Max for Live".
I understand your point about the latest advances in controllers integration, but some of us tend to stick with what they already bought, especially when we have invested a lot in customization or workflow building.

would love a dark mode. I feel like image hosting and music link embedding should be table stakes for a site about music software. we’re making art, for god’s sake. 😅

maybe more importantly though, as helpful as the forums are, it’s never felt like a particularly welcoming place. there’s no sense of community (as far as I can tell). very sterile. maybe the two suggestions above would help this too.

Twenty years ago, two things were true.
My eyes were younger and not as sensitive to brightness, and the dynamic range of monitors was not as wide as it is today. So pure white wasn't as bright as it is now. That's my non-scientific conclusion.
There's a conundrum with your forum and your tool, Live. You've done a lot to expand its accessibility for people with eyesight issues. That's commendable. Just add the same options to your forum.
When I visit this site, I've found a simple solution: I minimize my browser so the window is as small as possible, just so I can do a search or typing like this right now. For a few minutes at a time.
All my Ableton news comes 100% from Elektronauts and Ableton's newsletters, because of the brightness.

I don't think it's necessary to add any types of embedded media.
The vibe here is cool: text-based, Zen.

I may be in the minority.

That's actually already on my wish list, so I'm glad that it is talked about, thx

Not only is the white glaring, but the font is very small, with the result that there's a lot of completely wasted space that's glaring.

Also, would hate to lose the years of history and knowledge stored here, so let's not lose all the old stuff!
That's THE number one priority.
I agree. also ""The ability to upvote helpful posts," ."The ability to hide annoying users." Yes, those two.

Images would require a nuclear reactor to power the site.

Generally, the forum works, and should not be unduly messed with.

I have to say I was baffled to see that the social networks Live pages (official or not) replaced the curcial central ressource of the forum.
I don't understand the fact there is no direct link from the site to the forum. You have to know you need to come here and make a bookmark to get to it.
Dark mode ? maybe...
Posting pictures ? Hell yeah !
I use Live since version 1 and wish this forum becomes the #1 ressource again.

Some kind of emphasis on ENJOYING ABLETON. I don't enjoy Ableton much anymore. Maybe it's because it has gotten too complicated. Also, file management is confusing. Also, I'm interested in basic things like fastest and most enjoyable way to create and complete a song with Ableton.

yep, this gray style with bigger fonts is actually much better than the white glaring super agressive style we have now...

Personally I wonder why there isn't a video section for good youtube etc. tutorials etc? There are so many out there with the rise of influencers as a way to monetize youtube etc. it would be cool to see other users suggestions for good videos.

Personally I would want to see a user library section for presets to Live plugins, or pre-populated control surface settings and Racks etc. NI really did it right with the Reaktor library, it seems like this is all so spread out for Ableton, no unified way to access resources. Some things are on the main site, some things are third party, whereas the Reaktor Library etc. showed a way to integrate third party resources with NI. NI don't have great forums though, so there's that...

you could just strat a thread and post the videos, I am sure others will follow.

The library is a neat idea and would be great, even better if we could access it from the browser itself. Kind of like the new Splice thing.
