I'm losing my mind on latency that looks to be inherent in Ableton.
I have a roughly 90 ms latency between when I press a MIDI note and anything happens in Ableton. I have
* turned on Reduced Latency when Monitoring
* turned off Delay Compensation
* tried this on an empty project, both with a midi keyboard through my Apollo twin X and on the laptop keyboard out the built in speakers
I used a project which was just one track with a Simpler on it. I have an M1 Macbook Pro which should be more than up to that task. This delay is persistent over time, so there's no issue with Ableton needing to get moved over into Performance cores or anything like that.
Is this just unavoidable? Am I missing something? 90 ms is an awful long floor for latency (around 4000 samples at 48k) but I have no idea what I missed.
I'm on MacOS 15.2 Sequoia and running Live 12.2.6. I can also upload a video somewhere if that would help.
