Help transferring projects from L12 to L11

Post by chapelier fou » Mon Nov 24, 2025 8:47 am

So,
I made several Livesets for an installation.
I've worked on L12 but the computer that will run for the installation is a bit old and can only run L11. Live sets would not open in L11.
The projects are basically only playing MIDI clips. I thought I could access the track contents from L11 browser and simply drag them, but it doesn't work (it used to, doesn't it ?).
For now, the only solution I see is to consolidate every midi track and export them as midi file, and then reconstruct the projects. Doable, but a bit painful.

Anything I'm missing ?
MacBook Pro 13" Retina i7 2.8 GHz OS 10.13, L10.0.1, M4L.
MacStudio M1Max 32Go OS 12.3.1

Yeah it works in L11 too... but not with projects made with a newer version.
Another solution is to install and run the L12 demo on the installation's computer. If the installation lasts less than 30 days (the Live demo period) then you'll be fine. L12 demo is the Suite version, btw

Oh sorry, I missed that bit.
Well, there's no other solution than the (painful) one you already mentioned I'm afraid.
