Downgrade pre-12.3

I'm about to install the 12.3 upgrade but got some shows to be played within the next week now running on 12.2.5 on an 2021 M1 pro MBP running 12.7.6.
If I notice a problem with 12.3, will I be able to de-install it and go back to a previous version ? (12.2.5 to 12.2.7)

You can always install older versions, but you might not be able to open any projects you created in newer versions.

If you have to use a pre-12.3 version just don't forget to disable auto-update in its Preferences.

thanks [jur], I always do ! To be honest, I think I never downgraded since version 1. I remember standing by for a while before upgranding to the first V6 or something, for stability reasons, but that's all. So everything should be ok...

Duplicate your current 12.2 app in Finder and rename it. Then, install (copy) 12.3, resulting in two versions. You can now use whichever version you prefer, as mentioned earlier, projects created in 12.3 won’t open in 12.2.
