Push 2.5 → 2.5.2 Update Fails – Freezes, Aborts, Blank Screen

I’m on Push firmware 2.5 and trying to update to 2.5.2, but it doesn’t work.
Neither the internal Wi-Fi update nor push.local/update works.
Either it freezes, aborts, or the screen goes completely blank.

I’ve tried updating at least 10 times now and nothing works.
Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?

The current version is 2.3.2.
Did you try first installing the in-between version? The auto-update should take care of it but since it doesn't work try manually installing v2.3.1.
