How do I delete unused Sample files and NOT get a "Files Missing" notifications?

I recently figured out a way to save disk space in projects but I created another problem that I hope has a work-around. How do I delete files I am NOT using in the \Samples\Recorded folder so that I don't always get the "Files Missing" notifications because Ableton somehow tags them as being used (listed in the Manage Files section) - but I'm really not?

USE CASE: I often record many hours of continuous music on multiple tracks. A single project will render 15-30 gb of audio files and I might only edit and use only 5 minutes. So to save space I use Save As to create a new Project, then Collect and Save to copy the original files into the new project, then crop and Consolidate the original long clips down to 5 minutes - so Ableton renders new shorter tracks as smaller file sizes totaling only 100-300 mb in the folder \Samples\Processed\Consolidate

Now the cropped and Consolidated tracks are linked to the smaller Consolidated wav files so I'll never need or use the original 30 gbs of wav files in \Samples\Recorded - so I can technically safely delete them to save tons of space - but when I do, I always have to deal with or ignore the "Files Missing" notifications in red bar at the bottom and in the Managed files section because Ableton thinks I may use the files again?

Any workarounds to make Ableton ignore these files, not display the notification and not provide an option to find and re-collect them from my drive?

"Save as" and chose to save the project to a new location. Now go to File -> Collect All and Save. Done.
