Is it possible to lock midi mappings to a specific device?

I want to map my macros and stuff, but I don't want signals from device A to trigger signals from device B. And as I map out my set, I can see things conflicting.

Two options I know of. Melbourne instruments “roto-control” has that as a feature with plugin mode. Also “control surface studio” from remotify lets you create user remote scripts that lets you do that.
Both of these work on push in controller mode but not stand alone.

If you're midi mapping (rather than using Control Surface scripts), the quickest technic is probably to set up your controllers so they each send midi messages on different midi channel.
