Remote Script for Behringer X-Touch

Ju-80, I think I've solved your problem where soloing (or toggling Global Solo) in auto banking mode made the X-Touch change banks unexpectedly. Uploaded as a new beta. Thanks for reporting!

Also, there's a new mode for the Function Keys (F1-F8) now: Device Mode, selected by pressing SHIFT+F5.

In Device Mode, the Function Keys LEDs indicate devices (instruments, effects) present on the currently selected track.
- Press F1-F8 to directly enter Plug-In mode to control the corresponding device.
- Press OPTION+F1-F8 to toggle the corresponding device on/off.

The F1-F8 LEDs indicate their state as follows:
- LED on: device present and active.
- LED blinking: device being controlled in Plug-In mode.
- LED heartbeat (short intermittent flash): device present but turned off.
- LED off: no device present.

Say, for example, a track has five devices, and the fifth one is disabled (off). In that case, F1-F4 will be lit, F5 will "heartbeat blink" (unlit with a brief flash every few seconds), and F6-F8 will be unlit. If you press one of F1-F5, it will blink regularly as its corresponding device is controlled by the rotary encoders in Plug-In mode.

If anybody else is like me combining X-Touch and Mackie Controls XTs:
You have to also switch the MCUs to the "X-touch XT" scripts, then everything seems to be working as expected.
The X-Touch Scripts seem to not break backwards compatibility with MCUs.

With the XTs with the MackieXT scripts the X-Touch and MCU-XT dont's interact with each other and and both start at channel 1-8.

Apart from the colored screens, the X-Touch behaves exactly like a Mackie Control, so I knew in theory that the script should still work for the MC. Good to hear that you can in fact mix-and-match! As long as you use the X-Touch scripts for all devices, because the main script does indeed look for its XT counterpart.

That should (again: in theory) also get you all the extended functions not related to the colored screens, like Global Solo, on the Mackie units.

I just got my x touch and i am trying to run it with this updated script but it just doesnt seem to be working. I've loaded it in the user library under remote scripts and also tried uploading it to the midi remote scripts and it doesnt seem to be responding correctly. It shows up in ableton but my x touch is unresponsive when i set it to the custom script.

I am wondering if there is something i need to do to get it started? I'm on Live 12.4 and i updated the x touch to 1.25. What am i missing?

i am not a coder at all so i might be out of my depth here but any help is welcome.
