I'm shocked the hot-swapping bugs aren't addressed yet, after so many months. It makes finding sounds for a song so difficult, since it keeps kicking me out of the filtered view or out of my collection.

I just want to be able to hot-swap a sound and have it stay in the same filtered view or collection, so I can audition multiple presets.

I also agree with what someone recently posted about making collections better, but with this hot-swap bug, collections seem almost unusable. Please fix the bug so that collections are usable!

STAND ALONE ONLY.

Maybe I missed it but have not see these mentioned:

- Ability to save or assign a default set.
- Ability to edit Clip Envelopes (HOW IS THIS NOT A FEATURE? $2000 and I cannot automate a parameter?)
CLIP ENVELOPES - still waiting for the ability to view and edit CC date for internal and external instruments.

This should be priority for upcoming releases.

USER REMOTE SCRIPTS...Mentioned before but worth mentioning again.

Has anyone used "Control Surface Studio?

This is one of the more powerful software adjuncts for Ableton Live allowing users to create remote scripts that include listeners, modifiers you name it.

Push SA needs this in the worst way.

Hi, since 12.3 Push 3 came near perfect for my utilisation. Do you guys plan to upgrade controls on drumrack's send and returns? Particulary for devices control inside returns chains.
Second point, i want Push to control tracks 1-8, is there a way to "sync" with apc40mk2 (focus on different tracks
like 8-16), if i scroll down/up scenes on one it match with the other?
Thanks for your reply and amazing work and products Ableton team :)

The start marker is severely limited in standalone, you cant set it smaller than a quarter note.

This bug has completely ruined Push 3 for me too. :(

Wish:

A possibility to always highlight note "C" in Note mode (Chromatic) regardless of the scale I'm in.

There has been this bug driving me crazy on my Push 3 controller version ever since Live 12.3 update, was working perfectly on 12.2. I posted it on the Ableton subreddit and contacted Ableton support about it too with a video of the bug but all they said was "it is unwanted behavior" like duh yeah. https://www.reddit.com/r/ableton/commen ... yone_else/

Basically when I try shift between a Drum/Music clip and a MIDI instrument controlled by the Push, the pads lose their sensitivity and become a lot "stiffer" to press. Normally tapping the pads quite lightly sends MIDi data, but I found sometimes (not always) I have to press significantly harder to trigger a note and lose all control of velocity. I found that activating the "Do you want to save changes to *project*" window (closing Live) but then cancelling fixes the issue temporarily, only for it to randomly come back again.

It's sooo annoying anyone else had this weird behavior on Push?

A collaborative effort would probably be necessary, but some sort of native/m4l devices for Elektron's overbridge for push 3 standalone.
Probably won't happen but thought I'd put it out there just incase

I've encountered this weird beahivour just recently, too. I can't say if it was present in the past versions, I just recently started to use Push 3 (Controller, not Standalone) extensively right now.

Today I made a bit more testing. To my surprise it is easy totally reproducible on both of my computers (Desktop PC Win 10 and Notebook Win 11, Ableton Live Suite 12.4). To reproduce I just have to:
  • Start Push and Live
  • With the empty new Set just add Granulator III Preset -> Bow Slider (this Preset has a very audible Aftertouch sound)
  • Play on the Push and extensively use Aftertouch -> works like a charm even Polytouch
  • on the Push just change to clip view and back to melody 64 pads again -> Aftertouch sensivity is gone and Pads are not that responsible anymore!
  • some workarounds to reenable sensivity and responsitivity (for some time): change pad layout (sensivity comes back again) or change to user mode and back (sensivity comes back again) or your workaround, cancelling the "Do you want to save changes" Dialog (sensivity comes back again)
So, for me it is very clear, this is not just an "unwanted behavior", this is definitly a bug (the push doesn't get into the right state, or something alike)

When I find some time, I will send a support request to the Ableton support. This "unwanted behavior" is not practical at all. I've bought Push 3 especially for the MPE pads
