hi all!
I have this problem that soon is making me mad as F. I connect my behringer edge to ableton trough my motu ultralight mk5 midi and but the edge to sync with midi. so when i hit play in ableton the sequenser in edge starts at same time, but not really the same time.
it usually comes in too early like in the middle of the 4th and 1st beat if doing a4/4 beat. sometimes it is halfstep late and maybe 8 of 10 times it is right on beat.
if it was constantly early or late it could be fixed with midi sync delay but I cant when it is different every time i start it. same in both modes in ableton. scene and the other what everit is called.
anyone have any idea what is causing this. midi normally with all other outboards synths so I guess the fault is with in the edge.

I have this same audio interface. In debugging this, you may want to try sending clock cv thru the audio outputs to see if there is a timing difference. The outputs are designed to handle cv.
FIY…I use a Beat Buddy/Midi Maestro often to start things off. It does not have usb. I use a “CME U6MIDI PRO” hooked up to my Push 3. I’ve never had timing problems. There is a slight offset about 15 ms. It’s totally cheap and can do a lot of processing if you need it. 3 ins and 3 outs & 1 usb.

i tried to use cv to trigger it too from the outputs of my motu, but did not get it to work at all. a bit rookie when it comed to cvfrom ableton to hardware. I now ordered a D-thing from serendipety. i will be able to run midi int it and cv from d-thing too edge. it also does other cool thing like trigger the edge from midi notes so it can go trough the step seq. totally randomly and backwqrds and forward and also shorter steps like 7 and run 774 beat. a cool little thing in other words
