Decimal points in Track Delay?

Post by Chr0mat1c » Tue Feb 24, 2026 2:45 pm

So in the Track delay there are a couple of decimal places. Is it possible to change these? Or am I stuck with integers and no decimal places?
I tried some key modifiers but no luck so far. Hoping to set the exact measured system latency which is 3.07ms

You can type the value.

I tried to type in the value but double clicking just resets it to 0.00
How do I type in the value? Why can I not dial in a decimal place?
Can you confirm you can set the track delay to for example 0.01?

You can type either after a single or a double click. I checked, and it works in Live 10, 11, and 12 (macOS).

To see if the Delay can han handle decimals, switch to ' Smp', change the number of samples, and then back to 'ms'. Depending on the sample size, there's a high chance you'll see a decimal value.

I don't know why shift+dragging cannot be used to change the value.
