Hi Everybody!
I need to fix the pulsation of a vocal sample I am using to make a pad.
As we all know, the higher the pitch the more frequency pulsation in the sound, but how do I fix this in order to make an even sound on all octaves?
I tried warping but it didn't do much, I was only able to make it pulse at 1 beat throughout the keyboard, whereas I want the sample to stay still, just like a normal pad.
Can anybody please help?

What type of "pulsation" are you talking about exactly?
Vibrato? Tremolo? Or even caused looping?
Or is it an LFO modulating something in your Sampler?
If that's tremolo or vibrato you could try using an LFO do do the opposite modulation on the corresponding parameter (tremolo is amplitude, vibrato is pitch) but while the challenge would be fun... it'll be mostly interesting for the challenge rather than the perfection of the results as voices are not robotic as LFOs.
If that's backed in your source sample, then you'll have to use another sample or accept the beauty of the source

This is what Google spits out when I prompt the problem I am having:
"A sample that "wobbles" or creates an unstable, fluctuating sound when its pitch is increased is a common issue in music production, often resulting from how audio software manipulates sound waves"
So, being this a common issue, I am sure there is a way to just isolate a fragment of a sample and loop it in a seamless and smooth way so that it doesn't wobble based on what pitch is being played.
Like I was saying, I tried different things both warping it and not warping it, but it still doesn't solve the problem of frequency cycling at different speed as pitch increases.

Sorry for the sarcasm.
The thing is you tried to described the problem here, and a human couldn't answer you because your description lacks informations. No surprise a bot that prioritise providing an answer at whatever costs rather saying "I can't answer, your description is too vague" did provide a meaningless answer.
So we're back to square one: we can only help you if you answer the few questions from my previous post.

This is not a problem, it's just how sound works/propagates. If you want to "solve" this I think a physicists' forum would be more appropriate.
So let's try to decompose and understand your issue:
If you play a (non-warped/timestretched) sample it will play quicker the higher you play or vice-versa.
You tried warping but that didn't help, so i suppose your issue is different.
Is that pulsation due to a change in volume (tremolo) or pitch (vibrato)? Both are used 98% of the time when singing...

I am forever grateful to you for clarifying that Google is a robot....after reading your deeply insightful reply I searched my PC thoroughly, and sure enough there is nobody inside it answering my queries, which led me to discover this earth-shattering truth!

After a deeper search on the sample issue though, I've found the answer I was looking for just by going a bit deeper into granular sampling, which ironically is also available in Ableton (not in the lite version, though).
So as you can see, not only was Mr. Google right for once (from now on I am going to refer to "it" as Mr., cause I am still not 100% sure there is nobody else in the house beside me...), but it is a fairly common issue dealing with mapping samples, given the natural behaviour fo sound, as you aptly mentioned in your reply.
I have been using Digital Performer since 1998, and have produced music which is going around the globe since, but I also appreciate some features in Ableton, and was hoping to use it mainly for sampling, which I find a bit easier on this platform, made primarily for DJs and producers, rather than composers.
So, I thank you again for your time and insights, and for the comedy too! In our current dark times I think it is very much needed.
