Rent to Own

Post by evon » Mon Dec 08, 2025 6:07 pm

I had asked for a rent to own policy. However, it is not benefiting a hobbyist like me, who wants to upgrade from Live12 Standard.
I guess there may be quite few peeps like me. I just don't understand. What would I do with my Standard license? What part of the market was this designed for?

You would like to upgrade from your current L12 Standard to L12 Suite via the rent-to-own, is that right?
At the moment rent-to-own doesn't work with upgrading to a higher edition.
An option in your situation could be to sell your current license to someone else.

Thanks, but I have never done this before. Will have to do some research.

Didn't you notice the recent sales? I think that was one of the biggest discount Ableton has ever offered.
It's ended a few days ago, though.

Getting pitched on this again. Might this indicate an issue with sales? Might that indicate an issue with overall pricing?

No, just a reminder. Ableton is a company that sells products, what's wrong in pitching offers?

Good news, just noticed. My upgrade from my Live Suite 11 to 12 is now available as rent-to-own.

That's really great bc I was hesitant to pay the full price as rent-to-own and hesitant to justify spending at a time 200 EUR on upgrade.

Now upgrade rent-to-own is same monthly fee, 25 EUR but for 8 months only instead of 24 months.

Getting it straight away!!! Thank You Ableton!!!
