Hello, I have been using Ableton 11 to run midi through my MODX6 for years. Both entering MIDI using the keyboard, and playing it back using the MODX sounds. I am running Windows 11. Suddenly, the DAW refuses to recognize the Synth. I have the latest Yamaha Steinberg USB driver installed. I'm sure that the computer itself is recognizing the synth, as the MODX connect software is recognizing it, and I can see it under 'Device Manager'.
Under Ableton's preferences > MIDI > MIDI ports, I see absolutely nothing. No ports, inputs, or outputs. Furthermore, all of my MIDI tracks that once had MODX-1 as an input are greyed out.
For the audio interface I'm using a Yamaha MG-XU mixer.
I tested out a different Korg keyboard via MIDI with Ableton, and was able to get it to work. So the problem is between Ableton and the MODX.
This was all working perfectly last week, so there must be a solution.
So far I have tried:
Reinstalling the USB driver
Reinstalling Ableton
Updating the MODX
Using a different USB cable
Thank you!
