Error free upgrade?

The last 2 times I upgraded, everything went to crap. Samples where everywhere and plugins weren't found. Took me days to get everything back in order. Maybe I don't know what I'm doing.

Where in the manual does it give detail instructions on upgrading? I'm going from 12.3 -->12.4. I use suite in windows 11 with 32gb ram.

No offense, but that's probably the culprit here.
It's very important to understand files structure and how Live works with and reference files. If you think about it, a DAW is basically a files manager (with funny options to play with those files).

Were you upgrading to/from a full version or updating to/from a "point" version? I.e L11 to L12, or L12.2 to .12.3?

Where in the manual does it give detail instructions on upgrading? I'm going from 12.3 -->12.4.

You can either manually download 12.4 from your user account and install it manually like any other application.
Or enable auto-update in Live's Preferences, then relaunch it and wait until the bottom status bar tells you the update is finished and needs a restart.
