Sticky Notes or Notes like you can leave in PDF documents would be pretty handy for me.

It would be a handy thing for me to be able to click anywhere on the UI and leave a small Icon that expands to be a fillable note like you have in cells of Excel or that you can create in Adobe or other PDF programs. Anything of the sort out there?

Currently you have 2 main options:

- right-click a clip, device, track header etc and select "edit text info"
This will open the Info View (if it's not already) and let you type in anything you like.
That notes you typed in will now appear in the Info View anytime you hover over the noted item.
Downside, you need to have the Info View displayed to see your notes, obviously.

- use M4L, there's a few notepad devices.

info view is one of my favorite non-music features in Ableton. it's great to save stuff like the guitar I used, and pickup/tone settings, or notes to collaborators. the thing is brilliant.

that elphnt one seems like a bit of a cash grab. can't believe someone is charging $10 for something that basically already comes with the DAW. the only benefit is it can be put into the rack, but that's not something I'd need often enough to spend money on.

I wish the info view could float or stick to an area of Live. Scenes info texts is my first wish so I can read cue notes attached to the next scene without having to select it. And no M4L notepad does this...
