Where's Channel 1?? Input Channel missing

It's not listed in my input channel dropdown when I try to route from a VST: https://imgur.com/a/XRo5iOm. Tried on another machine, same issue. Tried a different VST, same issue. What am I doing wrong?

The first channel of the plugin is the top one, where you can select pre/post fx. Its not numbered as 1. This is for all multichannel vsts.

This does not apply to all multichannel plugins. Some plugins list channel 1 separately above channel 2. In that case, the top one is all channels combined.

Okay, that was obviously stupid of me. At least that's how it is for my NI plugins (except for Kontakt), Plogue Bidule, Reastream (Reaper), Freestyle (New Sonic Arts) and Mobius (CircularLabs). I thought that is the way, Live handles the channel naming.
