Let me explain....
I've been using Sting 2 to generate random 1 bar percussion patterns.
What would be ideal (and a time saver) would be to get random patterns WITHOUT the notes falling where the kick drum hits (the 1, the 5, the 9 and the 13).
Is there any midi sequencer with a random function that has this feature?
thanks

Lots of step sequencers w/ randomization can disable/gate steps, for example MDD Snake or many K-Teck ones.
And you can use Velocity in Gate mode to filter out low velocity notes from sequencers that have steps for velocity.
You can automate/modulate MIDI FX and even MIDI Effect Rack Chains to gate notes.
