Hi All.
Back on Live after many years away and just trying to get back up to speed but I've hit a block. I'm sure it's obvious to most of you but I can't seem to figure this out. I have an Electra One mk2 midi controller and I want to make a template on it, map it to Analog for example then save it as a rack or preset or template or whatever then later in a different project drop it back in and have my mappings preserved so they work straight away. Everything I've tried loses the mappings when in the new project and I find it hard to believe that mappings have to be made fresh for every project.
I've searched the manual, searched here even read chatgpt hallucinatory B.S. but still haven't managed to do it so if someone could explain, that would be great.
Thanks.

Re: Midi mapping query
Well...
Mappings are saved per project; they can't be saved as presets unfortunately.
That's one of the advantages of using controllers with remote scripts.
That's also why M4L can be a lifesaver.
It looks like the Electra One doesn't have native remote script in Live, so:
- for "general" mappings (like Transport) you could to do your mappings with the midi map mode, and then use the "save as default set". That way these mappings will be automatically available to any new Set you'll create.
- you might want to search for a remote script from the makers of that controller, or other users
- create your own Control Surface Script
There's also online services that can help you doing this, and actually go way further with the customisation.
