how to save a track config?

I feel stupid...
Been away from Live for a while.

I want to save a group config of tracks (for a polyend tracker mini) as a track template.
And I can't find a way to save a track config.
I can save it as a template project.

But I just want it as a track template I can drag in when needed.
I thought I did this some years ago with older live versions... but can't figure it out now..

Who can point me to the missing piece?

You can save a default audio and midi track, but for track templates you have to save as an .als.
Just drag a track to your desired User Library folder in the Browser.
