How to launch clips when synched to external midi clock

I am synching my Push 3 in standalone mode to midi clock.
Loops are starting and stopping as expected via the external start stop buttons on the clock device.

At the same time, I want to launch one shot clips via the trigger buttons on the Push but I can't.

Is there a setting I need to change?
Or is this funtionality not supported yet>?
