What I want to do is this:
1. I'm playing a fast track, e.g. 140 BPM
2. I drop in
161. Hallucinogen - [In Dub #01] Mi-Loony-Um (A Floating Butterfly Stings Like A Bee Mix) [9:19]
THIS TRACK
how this track works:
it starts out with a clock ticking, it's a loop. it's got high BPM. what happens then is that this "ticking" is slowed down after 30 seconds or so (no idea really, I'd have to check), then once it settles down on the new, slower tempo, it goes on with that tempo.
so what I want to do is to:
drop in a loop of the ticking in the beginning, then stop/take out/finish up the other remaining clips. then have this song follow on till it slows down. once it slows down,
3. start mixing at the new tempo of the later part of that song
how would I do that?
I know exactly how that'd be done with vinyl... just... put the record in, sync it with the old "fast bpm" stuff, fade out the old stuff, let the record play, then sync up new records to the slower tempo
but... it's not that easy with ableton.... is it?
cheers,
D.
