garbled audio occasionally

Post by morgan » Sat Jul 12, 2003 5:17 pm

So this has been a bug that's really hampered me using Live. I use it mostly just to record live guitar and then add some other loops and such. But when recording guitar, every once in a while it just gets completely garbled and nasty, kinda like the levels are too high (but that's not it), then all of a sudden it clears up for awhile (can a few minutes of good) then it will get bad again. Any ideas? My interface is the m-audio omni into OSX 10.2.6. This doesn't happen in Deck or Peak so I assume it's not my machine or the interface.

I downloaded the new beta but the bug is still in there.

Hi morgan,

you said you have an omni. As far I know the omni is just an extension to the delta 44 or 66 card of M-audio, which one of them do you have.

Do you use the Omni also as the outdevice?

Could you make me a screenshot of the audio section of Live's preferences and send it to me ([email protected]). I could try to explain why but it would take much more time as doing this screenshot :)

regards,
Alex
