I don't belive I'm talking about latency here. This is a bit different and came completely out of nowhere (much like all the other Live 5 problems). When I hit play I don't get any sound until a half second later. The CPU meter spikes to 75-80% everytime I hit play. This delay is also captured in the recording and rendering process. It happens even when I don't have Reason running and just try to play an audio file in the track.
About the Latency adjustment settings cause I'm sure someone will mention this. They didn't do ANYTHING. That includes the useless adjustments at the bottom of the tracks, the settings in preferences, and the setting in the drop down menu.
I am using multiple plug ins, However, this never happened before.
Also please don't tell me not to use my plug ins cause that's kind of pointless. That's another problem in and of itself if I have nothing to process audio with.
Anyone with the same problem? Any idea on how to resolve this? Thanks.

I have a similar problem with one song where there is also about a half second delay before the sound starts playing after I press play. And visually when playing it is out of sync with the sound I am hearing. Haven't checked to see if there is a cpu spike but will do later when I'm home. Wierd thing is I have another song where everything works fine. It is a new computer so not sure where the problem lies but if it was latency then surely the other song would have the same problem?
Did this happen immediately to you or after a certain amount of time? Cause everything was working perfectly and now it's totally out of sync. Everything is completely off time. I have no idea what the problem is. I had a track with a lot more tracks and it did not do this.
I am using Wave plug ins on this track though. I just don't understand why they would delay the song. I mean that is a very weird side affect from a plug in. Plus I had them running without problem and suddenly everything just became off sync. This happens with sounds from Reason AND sounds in Ableton.

Well here's another realization to discourage us from using Live 5 ever again. I checked out my older songs. The ones that used no Wave plug ins. Ones that also used far less CPU (maybe 45% max). The delay still occurs. When you hit play the sound is not immediate. Some things are still playing out of sync as well. It appears that there is a loss in synchronization with the audio clips and the MIDI clips triggering sounds from Reason.
I have no idea how to fix this as I have tried several different approaches including upgrading to 5.0.2. My songs are all completely useless if I wanted to render again or even show someone my work through Ableton itself. With things being randomly out of sync in destroys the entire song. Another great Live 5 improvement....
